Other flight options are availble with a stop at São Paulo (GRU). Flight time from São Paulo to Rio is 45 minutes.

Rio is also served by Santos Dumont Airport (SDU), a regional airport for domestic flights that can be used by delegates that wish to enjoy other tourist attractions in Brazil before or after the conference.

Health and Insurance
Registration fees do not cover insurance for accidents, sickness, or loss of personal properties. We strongly suggest that each participant make arrangements for travel and health insurances before proceeding to Brazil.

Weather
Even though July is winter in Rio, the weather is still pleasant, with average temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Winter is the dry season, with occasional drizzle.

Local Currency
The Brazilian monetary unit is the Real (R$), divided into 100 cents (centavos). The exchange rate is approximately 1 USD = R$ 2 (subject to changes). Most places accept payment by credit card, but you must have some local cash with you for small services.
